ABOUT PITANGA
This busy Bushwick staple opened in 2015 and has grown into a bustling hot spot with brunch everyday and happy hour and dinner Thursday through Sunday. Pitanga also features a bakery known for its delicious, house made pão de queijo. Additionally, Pitanga proudly serves its own single-origin, Brazilian coffee line as well.
By day, you can enjoy Brooklyn’s best açaí bowls, fresh-pressed juices, organic smoothies and a host of popular brunch specials ranging from healthy bowls and breakfasts to the signature veggie burger and hearty chicken sandwich.
By night, take advantage of a generous happy hour (starting at 3pm!), sip on a classic or specialty cocktail or sample selections from the carefully curated wine list. The dinner menu features an eclectic line up of both Brazil-inspired dishes like Coxinha and Moqueca as well as favorites like the Local Chicken, Portbello Sandwich and the Hudson Valley Burger (limited amount available). Everything is sourced locally and sustainably.
Pitanga is a veggie-forward restaurant. Vegans and Vegetarian are welcome!
PITANGA HAS COME A LONG WAY…
Pitanga began as a 100% vegetarian, organic and all-natural cafe in Brooklyn. As the business grew, Pitanga never lost sight of those values, continuing to offer the freshest organic and local ingredients possible. Pitanga is still veggie-forward but has added some animal protein over the years. So, there’s truly something for everyone on offer. There are plenty of yummy options for vegans, vegetarians, as well as those who want just a little bit more. Pitanga continues to be a local favorite known for using high-quality ingredients, remaining consistently delicious and its founder’s playful nod to her Brazilian heritage. Come after a yoga class and enjoy one of our replenishing smoothies, some rich Brazilian coffee or a comforting lunch during the day. Stop by and check out our carefully curated wine list, an exciting selection of classic and original cocktails and an always impeccable dinner menu at night.
See you soon.
